Privacy Policy

DockOps holds employment records for union members. This page explains what it collects, why, and who can see it.

Effective September 20, 2026

DockOps is workforce software for longshore union locals. It is used by members, headers, dispatchers and administrators to run dispatch, check-in, seniority and member records. This policy covers the DockOps mobile app and the DockOps web application.

Who controls your information

Your union local decides what is held about you and who may see it. DockOps is operated on the local’s behalf by Infraxio LLC, which runs the software and keeps it secure but does not decide how member records are used.

This matters when you want something changed or removed: those requests are your local’s to grant, and we act on their instruction. Requests sent to us are passed to your local’s administrators.

What DockOps holds

From your local’s records. Your name, contact details, employee identifier, role, membership type, status, seniority and recorded hours. Depending on what your local maintains in its own records, this can also include date of birth, home address and a social security number. That information originates with the local, not with the app.

What you add. Documents and certifications you upload, a profile photo, and any information change requests you submit for administrator approval.

What using the app creates. Check-ins and check-offs, gang and work order assignments, timesheet adjustments, announcements you receive, and an audit record of changes made to member records, including who made them and when.

Technical information. A push notification token for your device, app version and operating system, and security and error logs.

What DockOps does not do

We do not sell member information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. There is no advertising identifier in the app.

Permissions the app asks for

Notifications — to tell you when a work order is posted, a status changes, or a start time is announced. You can turn these off in your device settings and keep using the app.

Calendar — only when you tap “Add to my calendar”. The event is written to the calendar you choose on your own device. DockOps does not read your existing calendar.

Photos and camera — to let you upload or photograph documents and certifications. Only the files you choose are uploaded.

How the information is used

To run dispatch and the call-back list, to record who worked which vessel and gang, to maintain seniority and hours, to hold certifications and expiry dates, to send announcements and reminders, and to keep an audit trail your local can rely on for grievances, dues and compliance.

Who it is shared with

Your local. Administrators, dispatchers and headers see the information their role allows. Access is controlled by role, and what an ordinary member can see is limited to their own record and the operational information their local publishes, such as the call-back list and the flow board.

Service providers. Companies that host the application and database, deliver push notifications, and send text messages on the local’s behalf. They may process information only to provide those services.

When the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of members, the local, or Infraxio.

Security

Access requires an account issued by your local and is enforced on the server for every request, not only in the interface. Traffic is encrypted in transit, data is encrypted at rest, and changes to member records are written to an audit log.

No system is beyond compromise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify your local and support the notifications the law requires.

How long it is kept

Member and employment records are kept for as long as your local requires them, which is generally governed by its own retention obligations and by law — seniority and hours in particular are long-lived by design. Technical logs are kept for a short period. When an account is closed, the record may be retained where the local must keep it.

Your choices

You can see your own record in the app and submit a correction through Request Info Change, which goes to your local’s administrators for approval. You can turn off notifications on your device. For access, correction or deletion beyond that, contact your local; if you contact us instead, we will pass the request on.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Those requests are directed to your local as the party that controls the records.

Children

DockOps is a workplace application for union members and staff. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who sees it, we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, ask your local to notify members.

Contact

For questions about your own record, start with your local’s administrators — they can act on it directly.

For questions about the software itself, reach Infraxio LLC at hello@dockops.app or through the contact page.
